Street photographer

This photography project examines human interactions and social dynamics in Charleston, revealing differences in behavior and what people choose to show publicly versus privately. It highlights the city's struggles with racism, segregation, and gentrification while uncovering the unseen complexities of individual lives.

This project captures candid, overlooked moments in Charleston, day and night, using on-camera flash and strobe lighting to highlight diverse individuals' emotions, actions, and uniqueness. It reflects my goal of encouraging viewers to see situations from new perspectives while overcoming personal challenges and discovering a passion for capturing the unexpected through the lens.

My portraits are taken when an individual captures my attention—I seek to see their stories through their eyes. This exchange allows me to document genuine emotions and perspectives, highlighting the nuances of human behavior.

This project explores the concept of absurdity, blurring the lines between reality and imagination through staged, unordinary scenarios in everyday environments, using dramatic lighting to evoke discomfort and curiosity. By inviting viewers to engage with the work and resist normalcy, the exhibition challenges conventional behaviors while ultimately reflecting the pull back to societal norms.

While walking through Charleston, SC, I observed men's behavior and interactions across different ages and settings—at work, during leisure, and with loved ones. I focused on how they navigate private and public moments, revealing the unseen choices they make in shaping their actions.

My film photographs document my journey through Europe, capturing moments of exploration, cultural encounters, and human connections. Through these images, I reflect on the people, interactions, and experiences that shaped my time abroad.

My project explores the limits of the human body by documenting a subject attempting to consume increasing amounts of various foods until reaching her breaking point. Inspired by Vito Acconci and Thomas Ruff, I use deadpan performance and large-scale photography to highlight the body’s strengths, limitations, and reactions under physical strain.

I explored the studio with my subject dancing while holding glow sticks, using long exposure and a controlled amount of artificial light to capture dynamic movement and light trails.

I had the opportunity to photographe former Vice President Harris during her College Tour.

This project represents the phases of my life through five color-coded sections on a canvas, with each stage symbolizing a different period from childhood to the inevitable end. Through layered paint suits, meaningful music, and expressive dance, I visually and physically embody my past, present, and future journey.

This project explores the physical and mental reactions of a picky eater trying new foods, documented through videos of the artist attempting 12 different items in unconventional settings with a setup of food, water, and a spit bucket. Inspired by performance artists like Vito Acconci and Marina Abramovic, the work immerses viewers in a kitchen-like space, emphasizing the discomfort and intensity of the experience while encouraging a connection between the audience and the act of trying unfamiliar foods.
